Kate’s school took a field trip to the pumpkin patch last week. Each child needed a chaperone, and since it was just me, I took off work to go with her. We had the BEST time!! I hadn’t been able to go on any field trips with her (or Tristan) so it was a really nice treat for me. The pumpkin patch was really designed well, and so tidy and organized. It made for the best little day trip with my girl and her classmates! So thankful I could go!
Before her trip, she and I went to Starbucks for breakfast and to see our friends Katie and Rachel! This crazy girl showed me a new trick..haha. She’s hilarious to me!
We rode on the cadillac of school buses out to the pumpkin patch. It even had seat belts! This may be the norm now, but it’s been several years since I’ve been on a school bus. I got to say, “Back when I was young school busses didn’t have seat belts!” She was clearly impressed.
We got to take a hay ride, play on swings, jump in a big trailer full of cotton, play in corn, go through a maze, eat a sack lunch together, and pick out some pumpkins! I’m so happy we could spend this day together, just her and I!
I can’t wait to go back next year!
