Our Kate is SIX years old. She’s the baby, and I can’t believe our BABY IS SIX. She is so special and we we sure are thankful she’s ours.
This year Kate wanted a unicorn birthday party. Life is SO busy right now, and I feel like I was starting to drop the ball on her party. THANKFULLY I was able to pull off a sweet little party for her to celebrate with her friends. It was simple, but fun! We also discovered that girl birthday parties are a lot quieter and calmer than boy birthday parties, haha.
We went for all things rainbow and most things pink. Coming up with the rainbow stuff was fun and it was fun to make! Lots and lots of sprinkles!
This was called Unicorn Fudge. It was white chocolate (melted) and strawberry cake frosting mixed together. Top it with different sprinkles, pour it in a pan, let it set in the fridge, cut into squares, and there you go!
Marshmallows and pretzels dripped in white melted chocolate and rolled in sprinkles. These were a big hit!
I found all the unicorn party things at Hobby Lobby! (cupcake toppers, mini unicorn piñata, plates, plastic ware) We sure do love that store!
For the goody bags : I got these little brown gift bags at Hobby Lobby. I ordered some bows off of Etsy and put them on the front to make them cute! (and the girls can keep the bows to wear) Inside I put rainbow goodies and little unicorn things for the girls. I also made unicorn “slime”, which was a first for me!
For activities the girls decorated unicorn horns and colored pictures of unicorns. The unicorn horn decorating was so much fun (and so messy, but worth it). I think Kate has a great time at her little party!
Disclaimer : I found the invite above last minute online and recreated it on my own computer to send to Kate’s friends. I can not take credit for this design or anything else on the invite! (and I can’t remember where I found the original one!)
