Nearly 19 years ago, I started Our Nesting Place. At the time, it was simply a way to stay connected. A little online home where I could share life with family and friends while living far from home as a military spouse. We moved often, and in every new place, I learned that home wasn’t just four walls. It was something we created, something we carried with us.
Over the years, this space evolved. It shifted and changed, sometimes thriving, sometimes quiet, but always a place where I could share what made life feel special. At its heart, it’s always been about finding joy in the ordinary and making life feel a little more magical.
Lately, though, I’ve felt a shift. A quiet nudge toward something new. My focus has changed, my vision has grown, and it’s time for this space to grow with me.
So, with that, Our Nesting Place is becoming A Lovely Sort of Life.
This rebrand isn’t about leaving anything behind, it’s about stepping more fully into what I love. The heart remains the same: sharing simple joys, making the everyday feel a little more whimsical, and embracing the beauty in life’s small moments. But I want to expand, to create something even more intentional. To not only share my love for British charm (don’t worry, that’s not going anywhere!) but also to inspire others to find fun in the mundane, to make traditions out of the ordinary, and to create a life that feels warm, joyful, and lovely.
I know this space might feel new to some of you, and in some ways, it is. But at its core, it’s still the same. I’m still here, sharing my heart, my love for the little things, and my passion for making life feel special.
So, here’s to a new chapter. A fresh start, but with the same heart. I hope you’ll stay, and I hope you’ll still have me.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be transitioning this space to its new home. Once the web address changes, I’m not sure if this site will still be accessible. I’m hoping to set up a redirect, but I can’t say for certain. In the meantime, I’m working on saving and archiving my favorite posts to bring with me. I’d love for you to join me in this next chapter!
